The competition for the 2026-27 Scholar Programs for Finnish researchers is now open for applications and will close on October 1, 2025.

Please note that applicants for these programs must be Finnish citizens. If you do not have Finnish citizenship but you work as a researcher in Finland, please consider our short-term travel grant programs.

Grants for pre-doctoral research in the U.S.:

• ASLA-Fulbright Pre-Doctoral Research Fellows Program
  • A grant program for conducting pre-doctoral research in the U.S. for 6-12 months.
• Fulbright-KAUTE ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ion Award
  • A grant program for doctoral students in the fields of Economics, Business and Technology for PhD studies or research visit in the U.S.

Grants for research (postdoc and scholar) in the U.S.:

• ASLA-Fulbright Research Grants for Junior Scholars
  • A grant program for Finnish scholars, who have completed their doctoral degree less than 4 years ago, to carry out a research project of 3-12 months at a U.S. university or research institution.
• ASLA-Fulbright Research Grants for Senior Scholars
  • A grant program for Finnish scholars, who have completed their doctoral degree more than 4 years ago, to carry out a research project of 3-12 months at a U.S. university or research institution.
• Fulbright Research Grant in Partnership with the Nokia ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ion
  • A grant program for Finnish postdoctoral scholars in ICT fields to undertake research projects of 3-6 months at a U.S. university or research institution.
• Fulbright-KAUTE ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ion Award
  • A grant program for Finnish postdoctoral scholars in the fields of Economics, Business and Technology who have completed their doctoral degree less than 4 years ago, to carry out a research project of 3-12 months at a U.S. university or research institution.
• Fulbright-Technology Industries of Finland Grants
  • A grant program for Finnish scholars in the field of technology to conduct postdoctoral research at a U.S. university or research center, lasting between 8 and 12 months.
• Fulbright Visiting Chair at Florida Polytechnic University
  • A grant program for Finnish researchers and scholars in STEM fields to conduct research at Florida Polytechnic University.
